The Garden is pleased to present the second event in our expert forum series. Moderated by Harold E Bailey, Ph. D, P.E, a variety of panelists and points of view about drinking water quality will be presented, including:

  • “California Water Standards” Ashley Dummer with the State Water Resources Board

  • “Salvaging Water” Allen Carlisle, Padre Dam Water District

  • “The Carlsbad Desalination Project” Bob Yamada, San Diego County Water Authority

  • “Testing and reporting for Water Quality Assurance, with a Review of the Lead Testing Program” Brian Olney, Helix Water District

  • Ms.Smarty-Plants™, aka Pam Meisner, The Water Conservation Garden, demonstrating the value in your faucet

Come early for a 5pm docent-led Garden tour.  At 5:30pm, participate in blind water testing and sample Padre Dam Pilsner, crafted from recycled water, as well as other refreshments.

Seating is limited, pre-registration is recommended.

Admission: $10 Garden Members, $15 Non-Members,

Free for students with ID. Walk-ups welcome.
