In June of this year, the American Public Gardens Association (APGA), announced the winners of its 2015 member awards during its 39th annual conference held in Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minnesota. The awards honor the professional horticulture industry’s most influential and pioneering individuals and organizations.
The Water Conservation Garden and Education Director Pam Meisner were honored when she received the award for “Program Excellence” for her Ms. Smarty-Plants™ children’s character and program. The award category distinguishes an APGA member garden that displays a truly innovative spirit in program excellence in conservation, development, botany, gardening, horticulture, research, extension, or administration, recognizing the professional horticulture industry’s most influential and pioneering individuals and organizations.
