The Garden was excited and honored to host an international delegation invited by the U.S. State Department, who toured The Garden to see the important work we do! Ten countries were represented, some of which included: Uzbekistan, Canada, Curacao, Hungary, Afghanistan, Tunisia, Morocco, Palestine and two countries from Africa.
The delegation visited on September 27th, to explore The Garden’s exhibits and the Ms. Smarty-Plants™ educational programs, focusing on water conservation and environmental behavior change successes.
It was an honor to host such a diverse and like-minded group of individuals from the State Department’s International Visitor Leadership Program. This year’s guests specifically requested to visit The Garden.
