Heather Hayes-Haigh serves as the Development Coordinator at The Water Conservation Garden. She is responsible for our membership program. Heather holds a B.A. from Earlham College double majoring in Environmental Studies and Religion. She has also attained a M.A. in Religious Studies from the Graduate Theological Union focusing on environmental ethics.
Prior to joining The Garden, Heather worked for Point Loma Nazarene University, Earth Island Institute, and the San Diego History Center. Heather joined The Garden in 2021 to help people connect to and invest in this wonderful organization. She loves being in community and helping others engage in their communities as well.
Heather is an active neighbor. She currently shares space with her spouse, two large trees, innumerable spiders, a few squirrels, hummingbirds, Black Phoebes, the occasional skunk or opossum, various cared-for vegetable and fruit plants, and so many other beings. In her spare time, Heather enjoys hiking, volunteering, playing games (board and lawn), scheming trips and events, reading, and cooking.
