JILLIAN QUINT

Education Manager

Jillian Quint is The Garden’s Adult Education Programs Manager, fulfilling a life-long commitment to serving the community and the environment. Previous to The Garden she spent a decade in arts and activism endeavors.  After receiving a Bachelor in Performing Arts through Point Park University and Laban Centre London, Jillian founded a nonprofit arts group in San Diego and directed innovative, site-specific shows, as well as becoming a licensed Holistic Health Practitioner, before returning to stage with New York-based, internationally renowned, Shen Wei Dance Arts.

Her passion for environmental stewardship landed Jillian in the role of Campaign Coordinator with global environmental organization Greenpeace where she called attention to sustainable forestry practices and ran fundraising and membership campaigns. In addition, Jillian was a steering committee member for Michelle Obama’s initiative, Let’s Move! Outside, San Diego chapter, to make healthy food choices accessible for the next generation of kids. Most recently Jillian became a certified Values-Centered Leader through DePaul University.

With support from The Water Conservation Garden team, Jillian has expanded adult education offerings to include sustainability, arts & culture, and wellness both in person and virtual experiences. She created high school and college internship opportunities, is a supervising mentor for youth volunteers, and was a major contributor to the award-winning Ms. Smarty-Plants™ programs 2013-2022, under the guidance of Pam Meisner.

You may see Jillian dancing along The Garden trails,  volunteering at the Tibetan Meditation Center in Escondido, or solar cooking delicious dishes on her blog @SolarCookedFoodie and she would happily share any and all of these activities with you!
