Unearth a hidden talent or learn new gardening skills! The Garden offers a wide range of classes & workshops aimed at helping people gain knowledge about incorporating water-wise plants in their yard, the right way to compost and even how to make cheese!

Adult Classes & Workshops

Classes & workshops are usually held on Saturdays or a weekday evening and pre-registration is required. Many classes are free to members, fees begin at $10 for a class for non-members. Workshop fees are based on materials required.  Please note there is a $5 fee for member and non-members walk-ups for classes that charge a fee (including classes free to members).

FREE, Docent-led Garden Tours The First Saturday Of Each Month

Walk the garden trails with a Docent Tour Guide and see beautiful water-saving landscapes. Tours begin in the Plaza each Saturday at 10:00am. Please check The Garden calendar for Specialty tours with unique garden themes.

Landscape Design Consultations

Landscape Design Consultations with landscape designers are available for residents looking to make changes to their landscape to incorporate water-wise plants and materials. 45-minute consultations are offered 1-2 Saturdays per month and are booked on a first-come, first-served basis.

To prepare for an appointment, please bring measurements and photos of your yard and names and/or photos of plants that you like. To book an appointment, please call 619-660-0614 x10. The cost for a consultation is $60 for Garden members and $75 for non-members.
