Make a day out of your visit to The Water Conservation Garden!
The Garden is a wonderful place to relax, learn and enjoy the San Diego sunshine with exhibits showing visitors how to make their own gardens beautiful and drought tolerant. Explore exhibits such as the Native Habitat Garden, the Compost Exhibit, the Veggie Garden and the Succulent Garden, for ideas and inspiration. Take a free, docent-led tour the first Saturday of each month at 10 am and learn new techniques in one of the many classes.
During the summer, learn about the life cycle of the butterfly and enjoy tours of the Butterfly Pavilion. The Garden is a great place to simply relax—a picnic in our Gazebo does wonders for the soul, but make sure to wear walking shoes since The Garden covers about six acres of land. Bring water, a hat and sunscreen for added protection and if you get hungry, the Garden is located near many restaurants, including Starbucks, Hooleys, Dolci Italian Restaurant and Sahara Restaurant.
