Facilities Assistant

Wesley Roys serves as the Facilities Assistant at The Water Conservation Garden. He is responsible for the set-up for events and helps with the landscaping and trimming of the many plants on the grounds. Wesley has an Associate Degree in Office Management from Grossmont College. Prior to working at The Garden, he worked as a Union Ironworker for 4 years and as an Electrician at Blue Fin Electric (under Seal Electric) for 3 years. Wesley started at The Garden in 2019 because he realized how important conservation is becoming and thought it was the perfect place to work.

Wesley is an elite landscaper who excels at hard to rake areas and is a relentless and passionate worker. In his free time Wesley coaches basketball with his high school basketball teammate, Sam Miller who he now works for at The Garden. Wesley’s favorite quote is an ancient Himalayan proverb, “The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago. The second best time is right now.”
