COMING SOON-Garden Explorer’s Education Program
Welcome to the Garden Explorers Education Program, an exciting, self-guided, youth education initiative at our public garden. Designed for young nature enthusiasts, our program focuses on the importance of conservation and environmental stewardship. Children will learn about sustainable gardening practices, water conservation, wildlife habitats, and the critical role they play in preserving our planet.
Program Highlights:
- Self-guided Field Trips: Tour The Water Conservation Garden and explore our interactive exhibits. Students can learn about water conservation, composting, and native plant species and more with our volunteers.
- Nature Walks and Exploration: Discover the diverse ecosystems within our garden through nature walks and scavenger hunts.
- Wildlife Education: Learn about local wildlife and their habitats, and understand how conservation efforts protect these vital ecosystems.
- Community Engagement: Collaborate on community projects that promote environmental sustainability and conservation within our local area.
Goals and Objectives:
- Foster a love for nature and an understanding of ecological balance.
- Teach practical conservation skills, including water conservation techniques, that can be applied at home and in the community.
- Inspire the next generation of environmental stewards to take active roles in protecting our planet.
