    Karamu – Celebrating Black History Month

    Otay Water District is helping celebrate Black History Month at KARAMU on Saturday, February 8 from 1-3pm at the Spring Valley Branch of the San Diego Public Library. This is a community festival with activities for the whole family including: Health Screenings, crafts, performances from the Martin Luther King Jr. Choir, refreshments, and more. Come down to celebrate and make sure to meet the folks from Otay Water District.

    Explore East County’s History on January 25

    Helix Water District is hosting one of their “Helix Water Talks”, on January 25. This one will explore the history of east county, its water supply and Helix Water District, starting way back in the 1880s. THe Saturday morning event includes a presentation and a tour of Helix’s 3-floor collection of historic photography.

    Student Artists Featured in 2020 ‘Water Is Life’ Calendar

    Five talented San Diego County student artists from four elementary schools were among 36 Southern California students whose artwork will appear in the 2020 “Water Is Life” calendar.

    The five artists represent regional water agencies including Helix Water District, Otay Water District, Padre Dam MWD, and Sweetwater Authority.

    On Thursday, May 23, 2019 The San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce announced the winners of the Small Business Awards in San Diego, California. The Water Conservation Garden enthusiastically received the Making a Difference Award.
