Earth is Home
We must all do our part to protect it.

This holiday season, The Water Conservation Garden expects to serve nearly 4,000 children and their families through the Ms. Smarty-Plants™ program.

The need for outdoor education has been growing over the last decade due to the vast use of technology. Did you know prior to the pandemic children spent 4-9 hours on average in front of the screen? Screen time has only increased since distance learning expanded.

This means we’ll need our most trusted partners- you and other valued friends- to join us in this work of getting kids outside and creating environmental stewards.

Have TWICE the impact...
Thanks to generous support from The Rice Family Foundation all donations will be MATCHED up to $25,000 until #GivingTuesday on November 29th! This means your gift makes 2x the impact.

About our Program
Our Ms. Smarty-Plants™ program is a fun character-based water conservation education program that meets and exceeds California State Standards, STEM, and NGSS learning. A unique component of his program is that it is an all-inclusive curriculum that can be tailored to any grade level. Ms. Smarty-Plants™ is delivered in English, Spanish, and American Sign Language.

Your Gift Changes Lives
During a Ms. Smarty-Plants™ Camp, we had an amazing student named Kimmie. During our camp, she was able to explore The Garden in her wheelchair with Ms. Smarty-Plants™ and other students learning about conservation and ways to care for the planet. During her time, she created a clay sculpture, walked through certain garden trails, and enjoyed the water stream on her feet. Our camp provided a place for her to connect with nature easily despite her disability. We hope to offer more experiences like these for other children with disabilities.

This holiday season, would you consider a gift to The Water Conservation Garden? We depend on generosity from friends like you to sustain and grow our vital youth education programs. Please give someone like Kimmie the opportunity to have a unique learning experience.
