Four interactive classes emphasize how to use iPhone camera settings along with the principles of photography. See your photo quality elevate from ordinary snapshots to exquisite moments. Led by experienced photography instructor, Sally Long.

The fourth and final class is an outdoor field trip to The Water Conservation Garden OR any nearby nature spot for a field assignment. Participants will select from their best photos to be featured as part of a digitial art show at The Garden.
We encourage you to attend all classes live. Virtual classes are 45 minutes with an additional 15 minutes for Q&A with the instructor. Recorded webinars will be sent to all participants following each class day.
iPhone Class 1 - Topic: Landscape and Garden Photography. Emphasizes general iphone camera settings and important modifications to increase photo quality. Stirs in basic principles of photography: Center of Interest and Focus to elevate photos from a snapshot to the next level.
iPhone Class 2 - Topic: Close-up Photography. This class will look at the iPhone camera features that can improve those close-up photos of flowers, butterflies and more both in your garden and at The Water Conservation Garden. Following simple photography principles such as The Rule of Thirds, Subject Placement and the importance of lighting will help create those close-up shots that will WOW your friends and family.
iPhone Class 3 - Topic: Special iPhone Camera Features. This class will explore those special and often hidden features in the iPhone camera and how they can be applied to your photography to create amazing photos. It will also demonstrate how to take Pano and burst mode shots along with how to change a Live Focus photo to a long exposure photo. These tips will help enhance and elevate your photography.
iPhone Class 4 - Final Field Day Group field trip with instructor through The Water Conservation Garden using all the techniques that were learned. If you are not local to San Diego, the instructor will give you a field assignment to be completed at a nature space near you.
