Fitness Friday - Fitness Fridays 2023

Fridays @ 9:05am with Lisa Griffiths  Instructor Lisa Griffiths guides you through a combination of 30-minute bodyweight fitness section (strength bands provided) and a 30-minute gentle/yin yoga stretch section (bring a yoga mat). Supporting you to feel good, get an effective workout, and be outside into nature! Beginners are most welcome.

Chi Yoga - Chi Yoga 2023

Chi Yoga involves a series of slow, gentle movements, physical postures, a meditative state of mind, and controlled breathing. Tai chi originated as an ancient martial art in China. Over the years, it has become more focused on health promotion and rehabilitation. In this class we blend the traditional poses of yoga in a flowing manner to keep chi moving through the body while balancing the benefits of both yoga and Tai chi.

Hathayasa Yoga is an alignment-centric, flowing paced practice that blends hatha and vinyasa methods. This practice is based on posture and breathing and builds strength, balance, and a union of mind, body, and spirit. All levels are welcome.

Wednesdays @ 10am “Sloth Yoga”- slow and mindful. Connect deeply with your breath, body, and environment. Strengthen your body and awareness through gentle movement from your toes to the crown of your head. Relax and tune in to your true self. Meet the Instructor: Pam Badger is a Certified Yoga Instructor with almost 20 years of teaching experience. Her teaching style is relaxed and playful while attending to proper alignment and safe practice. Dubbed as ""advanced yoga for every body,"" she focuses on the basics of yoga - the breath and body connected and moving together. Beginners as well as experienced practitioners enjoy her classes, leaving with a smile and feeling relaxed.

Chair Yoga - Garden Chair Yoga 2023

Thursdays @ 9:15-10:15am with Instructor Jackie Gadd www.byomyoga.com Set in the lovely Butterfly Amphitheater at the heart of the garden, these adaptive accessible sessions aim for good stretch, a bit of a workout, and some valuable mind-quiet time. The classes are gentle, and combine both chair and standing postures to provide what the class needs on any given day: flexibility, muscular strength, range of motion, agility, vitality, balance/coordation. Mindful meditation topics help reinforce that ever important connection between body and mind. Bring your own mat (chairs and props provided), something for hydration, and bundle up in layers for outdoor weather. Garden Members do NOT need to register online. Please sign in upon arrival.
