"The issues are in the tissues" is a phrase referring to where tension is held and stored. At the same time, the solution for releasing stress can often be found within these same tissues. Elizabeth will introduce somatic practices and techniques to help recognize when we are under stress and offer suggestions on how to self-regulate.

Chi Yoga involves a series of slow, gentle movements, physical postures, a meditative state of mind, and controlled breathing. Tai chi originated as an ancient martial art in China. Over the years, it has become more focused on health promotion and rehabilitation. In this class we blend the traditional poses of yoga in a flowing manner to keep chi moving through the body while balancing the benefits of both yoga and Tai chi.

In partnership with the San Diego Museum Council, Kids 17 and under get FREE admission with one full-price paid adult admission at The Water Conservation Garden. Children must be accompanied by an adult during the visit. The coupon cannot be used for specially-ticketed events, special exhibitions/exhibits, field trips or group visits. Kids Free San Diego offers vary by participating partners.


Hathayasa Yoga - Hathayasa Yoga 2023

Hathayasa Yoga is an alignment-centric, flowing paced practice that blends hatha and vinyasa methods. This practice is based on posture and breathing and builds strength, balance, and a union of mind, body, and spirit. All levels are welcome.
